OGUN ABÉLÉ (CIVIL WAR)
Our gods are still alive! Akinlabi exclaimed...
Strictly, my back bones, a match up;
Our fathers' right, the hope of our future,
We were shredded away, so they matched on,
Left strips we nurse till date.
Ogun Abele would be the solution-
Off, we go all out till our right is claimed...
'Venture not into intensifying conflict!'
Agba-agba ilu exclaimed...
I was birthed of the gods,
gods still inhabit the tuft of my hair.
My heart electrifies the strikes
Perhaps, make available when It's needed;
Let not our voices stop scream,
I once made a promise,
our rights, never to go untreated;
In oneness, we move aright, the time is now
Our fathers' right, less of strangers.
Akinlabi! Akinlabi!! Akinlabi!!! Ajagunta, explains...
'My gain gone lost, pain I reap.
The beginning, scintillating,
So experienced I.
The end, a set of bitter experience
My able Oreke, and adoring Asake,
Passed on, the night of tears lingers.
Venture not into this, we plead Akinlabi! '
'My promises...' He reiterates!
'Attack launched, we're here already
Soldiers, stabbed and stabbed.
The arrows and bows of the strong,
The beauty of their readiness'
Aloud! he shouted, overwhelmed...
'Vengeance, our aim; Vagabonds'
The acts, painstakingly executed;
Blood sheds, skins tore apart.
The result be violence, rights unclaimed.
Lest, we achieve this,
My eyes never see's home
The heights of the strong made short
Akinlabi, a forgotten tale.
